About the Webcast

About the Speakers

Matthew Walsh

Matthew Walsh is a Senior Data Scientist within the CERT Division of the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI). His research centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance cyber security and to usher in novel organizational capabilities. Among his recent undertakings, Matthew has explored extensions of system theory to ensure the safety and security of AI systems. Matthew earned a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University.

Dominic Ross

Dominic Ross is an Autonomy Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI) with over 15 years of expertise in media research and development. His work focuses on generative AI, particularly in the areas of digital twinning, virtual production, and extended reality (XR). Dominic has applied these technologies in modeling and simulation (M&S) environments to develop training capabilities for both human warfighters and autonomous systems.
